General Information Systems, based near Cambridge UK, specialises in Smartcard based products for both contact and contactless applications primarily in the public transport market. We have successfully developed readers for ITSO (UK), ITS (Ireland), LUAS (Ireland), SL (Sweden), Vasttrafik (Sweden) and others. We also focus on rapidly expanding markets such as payment across the internet, electronic purses, secure access control, card-based loyalty schemes, electronic ticketing and card-based user group schemes for pseudo currencies and logical access. We specialise in bespoke developments of handheld terminals for almost any application and includes RFID, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, Modem and barcode scanners.
