Hi, I’m Emilie, and we have a lot in common. A part of me is a workaholic that overthinks everything. Another part of me is hyper-critical and judgmental of myself and others. A third part of me likes to wallow in darkness and believes that nothing good can last. Another part of me feels like an alien who can never fit in anywhere and isn’t worthy of love. And another part of me is a small child screaming that it’s not fair that I lost my mother. I used to intensely dislike and be scared of these parts, but through a range of somatic healing practices and coaching, I’ve learned to embrace them and finally allow myself to feel the full spectrum of human emotions. Since these practices were so helpful to me, I decided to get certified in them so I could help others. I am a 400-hour Alchemy of Breath-certified breathwork facilitator, trauma-informed self-regulation coach taught by Mastin Kipp, vinyasa flow and bhakti yoga instructor, and 300-hour Shift Meditation-certified sound therapist. Additionally, I am a published author, a manager who has designed and implemented nearly a billion dollars worth of agriculture, infrastructure, and gender and social inclusion programming in Africa and Asia, and a team leader who has coached dozens of people with diverse needs and backgrounds from all over the world. I also have lived in nine different countries, am fluent in French, and have my MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
