Genhkids

The genHkids mission is: To create a generation of healthy kids through education, empowerment, improved nourishment and increased physical activity. Through programming in schools and community organizations, genHkids reaches children and their families to get them to Eat Real and Move More. In the words of genHkids Founder and President, Kemia Sarraf, M.D, M.P.H: “The public health crisis the obesity epidemic represents is unprecedented, far-reaching, and will be catastrophic; not only to the physical health of this generation, but to our collective financial future and our national security. I believe it is incumbent upon us all — health professionals, educators, parents and politicians, to take every imaginable step necessary to curtail the impending crisis this epidemic will create. We must improve the ways in which we nourish our children and ourselves; we must increase the amount of physical activity they and we get every day, and; we must educate and empower them to make their own best, lifelong choices. Failure to do so is not an option — an entire generation of children is at risk.”
