GenIran lab is a private molecular biology and biotechnology laboratory, which has been established under the supervision of Tashkhis Gene Pajoohesh (TGP) company. TGP is a knowledge-based company for providing molecular and cellular controls and standards for medical genetics laboratories. Our well-equipped lab is actively operating in the following areas: Research and development and evaluation of molecular kits for the diagnosis of infectious and non-infectious diseases Planning and performing joint research projects in the fields of molecular genetics, upstream biotechnology and bioinformatics Providing the facilities for performing MSc and PhD theses Giving consultation and advising for designing and performing postgraduate theses Teaching and training of molecular techniques (workshops, long and short term practical courses) Bioinformatics services (e.g. primer design, molecular data analysis, clinical NGS data analysis) Facilities: Real-time PCR instrument Thermocycler PCR machines Gel electrophoresis (vertical and horizontal) systems Gel documentation system Spectrophotometer (Nanodrop) ELISA Reader Shaker incubator SDS-PAGE and Western-Blotting systems Chemical and class II biological hoods Freezer -86 °C Refrigerated centrifuge Water distiller General Molecular Biology Facilities including pH meter, Heater block, Shaker Incubator, Fridges and Freezers, water bath, and so forth. In addition, our center has a multimedia conference room for conducting workshops, presentations, and computer/Internet-mediated classes.
