Frameworks and pilot projects for a just transition process in food systems are an essential but not yet sufficiently available piece. We will change that! At Geofoods we use concepts of critical geography to provide frameworks and strategies in order to envision and enable a just food system. Geographical imagination is a way of thinking about the world to understand the relationship of places and thus create social and spatial justice. Geofoods analyzes the geography of food to understand the complexity of the global food system. We take the geographical concepts out of the academic world and turn knowledge into actions. Based on a critical analysis of food geographies we aim to craft frameworks and pilot projects for a just transition in food systems. Geofoods works with stakeholders of the global food system. We offer support through geographical food system analysis, creation & facilitation of a just transition framework and strategic campaigns & communications.
