George Bayntun

George Bayntun is one of the world's most famous bookshops and is home to the Bayntun-Riviere bindery, founded in 1829. The bookshop specialises in fine leather bindings; mostly English literature, poetry, illustrated and children's literature in fine and first editions. In the bindery 6 craftsmen and women bind and restore books from all over the world. George Bayntun also houses the George Gregory antique print gallery and second-hand book department. In the gallery there are over engravings of views, birds, flowers, animals, portraits and naval/military, etc. The second-hand department houses a vast array of fiction and non-fiction on all manner of subjects and has prices to suit all budgets.
