The architect and urbanism firm George Moreno & Partners has its beginnings over 60 years ago with the Architect Ernesto de la Guardia The Architect Ernesto de la Guardia is a well known designer that made important projects in the 50s and 60s such as the Legislative Palace, The Hotel La Siesta and Yacht and Fish Club to name a few. Then joins in partnership with the Architect George Moreno II with whom he shared the rest of his career since 1969 winning the contest of the new Club Union in Punta Paitilla until his retirement in 1995. Ernesto De la Guardia and George Moreno II shared a successful career for nearly three decades participating in major projects that occurred in Panama such as the complete design of the Contadora Island in the archipelago of Las Perlas, The Hotel Bambito, The Club Golf of Panama and the Headquarters of the National Bank of Panama; all winners of design awards grant-ed by the Panamanian Society of Architects and Engineers. After the retirement of the Architect De La Guardia, the Architect George Moreno Galindo II continued the tradition that had already established these two and led the design of the main projects of the nineties as The Gamboa Hotel, The Crown Plaza Hotel, Hotel Inter Continental and The Miramar Towers on Balboa Avenue. The decade of the begins with a new partner, the architect and urbanist George Moreno who began his career with the winning of a contest contest of one of the most important residential project in the city of Panama in recent decades: Pacific Point; nowadays already made a reality and built entirely. Under the leadership of George Moreno GMP has focused in big urban projects with emphasis on tropical architecture. Among them we can mention the three currently most important projects in the city of Panama: Santa Maria Golf and Country Club, Ocean Reef Islands and the progressive urban project Panama Pacifico in the old Howard military base.
