German British Forum

The German-British Forum was established in 1995 to reinforce pivotal political and business relationships and to promote education and social exchange between Germany and Britain. The German British Forum’s activities include: Engagement from several well-known figures in British-German relations including its President, Lord Hurd; co-founders David Marsh CBE and Robert Bischof, who is the current Chairman, and previous chairmen Professor William Paterson OBE and Dr Stefan Georg. Its Annual Conference has featured high-profile speakers such as Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, Helmut Schmidt, Gerhard Schröder, George Soros, Alistair Darling, Helmut Schlesinger, David Simon and Kenneth Clarke. Its Management Board, motivated by a common interest of promoting dialogue and exchange between the two countries within a European and international context.
