German School Nairobi

As an officially recognized German School Abroad supported by the German Government, the German School Nairobi provides high-quality education from our bilingual kindergarten through to the internationally respected German International Abitur. Guided by our core values of Trust, Belonging, Responsibility, and Realization, we provide a vibrant, inclusive, and international learning community. Our curriculum follows the standards of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) in Germany. Abitur requirements are based on the KMK core curriculum, with tasks and examinations reviewed directly by the KMK. Situated in Kenya, we place special emphasis on English, with subjects such as Geography and History taught in English or bilingually. From Class 6 onwards, students also learn French as a second foreign language. We currently have 400 students from more than 50 different backgrounds. This diversity shapes our daily life, enriches classroom learning, and reflects the international character of our school community.
