Get A Trip.com was founded in 2002. Both Expedia and Travelocity have formed partnerships with Get A Trip, Inc. While GAT started off as a Las Vegas Hotel booking website, it quickly grew covering the entire United States and Canada. As of 2010 Get A Trip became a global company. Shortly after, Get A Trip, Inc. was formed as the Get A Trip International Travel Group Consortium, the official representative of the Get A Trip brand companies. It's primary travel resource for global mainstream travel is Get A Trip.com. Twelve travel niche micro-sites are maintained through the GAT Consortium and include the likes of Beach Spa Resorts.com, Trip Articles.com, Travel Story Articles.com, Travel Islands.info, Girlfriends Escape.com, Road Trips.ws, City Travel.us, Travel News.ws, Disney Vacations.ws, Travel Deals.TV and Pet Lover Hotels.com. They are all in either various stages of development or in Get A Trip's investment portfolio. Get A Trip is currently under reorganization.
