GFS – Gobe Freight Services started off as a join venture to supply road transport, stevedoring and materials handling services to the chevron Gobe Petroleum Development projects in the Gulf and southern highlands provinces of Papua New Guinea. After completion of the construction stage of the Gobe project, GFS was offered under contract to service the infield production and exploration operations of the then Chevron Texasco exploration and eventually the new operators formally Oil Search Limited (now Santos). Following these changes GFS become a 100% locally owned company from project areas and eventually decided to expand company operations to Port Moresby 2007 which has provided business houses with a serious alternative transport and logistics service providers. GFS presently has two operations 1. Gobe / Kopi Operations & 2. Port Moresby based Operations. GFS Limited primary focus is to transport a variety of materials for the petroleum and gas industry, but the company offers much more than just transport. We also provide services in customs clearance, warehousing and distribution, materials handling, project management and always strive to deliver with world-class efficiency and professionalism.
