Gidan Nodza creates fashion and accessories in leather and other fabric/materials such as hand bags, wallets, cuffs and other unique items using Afrocentric designs fused with classic as well as current fashion trends. As part of our specialties we also cater for customization of carrier and fashion hand bags to our clients who feel the need to break out of the trend herd and stand out by modifying such to suit their individual style. Gidan Nodza was founded in 2004 as a venture dedicated to creating bags and other fashion accessories using designs based centrally on African motifs fused with the latest fashion trends. The name Gidan Nodza is the Hausa language term for 'House of Nodza' and 'Nodza' in turn means 'That which is awake but yet asleep' in the Mambila language of North Eastern Nigeria. The name is a metaphor for the duality of existence or life.
