Giddy2School Education Initiative is a nonprofit organization passionate about providing access to useful skills, quality and equitable education to every child in Nigeria. Education remains a potent tool for self-reliance, self-development, and national development. Studies show that education or human development is at the core of every socio-economic development program for any nation (National Bureau of Statistics, 2015). The Sustainable Development Goals 4.7b have it that by 2030, it should be ensured that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development (UNGA, 2015b, p. How far are these development goals thriving is worth engaging and assessing through a succinct and swift call to action. There is an urgent need to implement the equipping of the present generation to cater to their needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Mission statement While the world is filled with education advocates who take kids off the streets, our mission is to keep children off the streets and in their schools, to reduce the school dropout index and illiteracy rate. We mobilize, educate, and collaborate with like-minded change-makers to break learning barriers, and difficulties between a learner and his actual change in behavior using the giddy approach to pedagogy, for the attainment of quality life.
