Since 2013, GiftedMom is one of Africa’s most outstanding e-health companies engaged in improving maternal and child health (MCH) by making health information accessible and available to rural and urban communities, using innovative & low-cost mobile technologies. We believe every mother can successfully pull through pregnancy, delivery and child-upbringing without having to face health complications which are prone to be mortal. We therefore engage mothers through mobile-based solutions to follow up their antenatal care, and immunisation sessions. Through a low-cost mobile online application called “GiftedMom” we help mothers and pregnant women access medical advice on pregnancy, breastfeeding, vaccination, family planning, contraception and the possibility of talking to a certified doctor. Creating a network of maternal health promoters is the reason why we partner with International Organisations and NGOs in the domains of Sexual and Reproductive Health & HIV/AIDS to collect and analyse data using real-time innovative impact measurement tools; engage in community mobilisation and health education outreach campaigns.
