Universidade Nova de Lisboa, through its Rectorate, opened the Transition to Work and Employability Office in partnership with the Instituto do Emprego e da Formação Profissional (IEFP), on October 2009. Being the only Transition to Work and Employability Office working in Portuguese universities, will primarily aim to provide a relevant support to the outside community of the University, especially to the population living near Campolide campus. This support is particularly important at the present time of economic recession and rising of unemployment rates and intends to expand the reach and impact of the measures to support employment developed by the IEFP. At the same time, the Office will promote several actions aimed at promoting the employability of UNL graduates, and will serve as the basis to the production of updated information about the employability of its graduates. The Office is located in the Residence Alfredo de Sousa, Campolide Campus.
