Girledup Ghana

We seek to inspire and support girls, especially those growing up in underprivileged communities to take up career and leadership roles in STEM and non-STEM fields. We become what we see and girls growing up in underprivileged communities lack appropriate role models with limited visions and imaginations of what is possible for them. Having the right representation using mentors and role models is very important for girls to believe they can be high achievers. At GirledUp Ghana, we believe in the power of representation and so both men and women mentors/role models are used to raise the next empowered woman. We are also interested in creating an environment where both boys and girls can work together without seeing themselves as competitors. GirledUp simply means the power and potential in girls unleashed!
