Glass Glam

A new icon in the making, and sporting a contemporary aesthetic, Glam+Glass ® is set to revolutionize the world of optics and more specifically that of fashion addicts who collect fun, colourful and assertive spectacle frames. Mod. 52 was designed mainly by observing the behaviour and lifestyle of these users, responding to their functional and stylistic expectations, and it makes a strong statement from the outset. Offering a fine-tuned image of iconic visual references, this model nevertheless asserts its own visual identity and lays the foundations for the brand's DNA; a stylish but also technical DNA, e.g. by complying effectively with every standard of robustness and eye protection. Using an innovative technological process, and specific choice of material, the frame is both rigid and structural and yet soft and flexible in use, allowing it to be converted instantly from sunglasses into prescription spectacles. The tinted lenses are easily detached, without the need for any tools; they unclip and can then be replaced as required with corrective lenses or other tinted lenses in the Glass+Glam range. Ideally suited to everyday use, whether urban, sports or relaxation, the frame is moulded from a single piece, with no joints, screws or hinges, and with no additional parts that might come off. The design of the glasses addresses every detail of ergonomic comfort, fully exploiting the opportunities offered by the production process. The silicone developed to make Mod. 52 is innovative, has a natural and sensual feel and is pleasant to the touch; it is specially treated to prevent any allergic reaction. It makes for an extremely light frame that is ultra-flexible without sacrificing comfort or strength. It is precisely this relative flexibility of the material that prevents the glasses being crushed. Which is great news for restless sporting types or for fashionistas who use their glasses as a stress ball or a headband.
