Glasswing is an innovative nonprofit organization that empowers youth and communities to address the root causes of poverty and violence through education, health, and community resilience programs. By harnessing the power of community, we provide young people and community members with opportunities to thrive and become part of the solution. Glasswing’s work is rooted in community engagement. We forge partnerships with international and local governments, corporations, nonprofits, and civil society, building on, strengthening, and mobilizing existing resources to deliver high impact, sustainable solutions. Our Work: • Build students’ core life skills and resilience through extracurricular programs and psychosocial support in public schools • Provide youth with economic opportunities through leadership, entrepreneurship, and employability training • Empower girls by providing safe spaces and building their social, educational, and financial capabilities • Train community leaders and public servants (e.g. teachers, medical personnel, police) in trauma-informed care and restorative practices • Certify healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and first responders in emergency life support • Transform public spaces - such as schools and parks - through community-led volunteer projects Since 2007, Glasswing International has: • Impacted 4.7 million+ lives • Grown from three to 500+ employees • Worked in over 550 public schools
