Glisten Technologies is a research and development company that acts as an innovation partner for the world’s luxury businesses, developing a portfolio of solutions that preserve, protect and enhance reflective and precious materials. Glisten Technologies' namesake invention is a novel, patented nanotechnology that enables an invisible protective nano-layer to be applied to diamonds in many applications, including jewelry. This protective nano-layer repels oils and proteins, protecting the integrity of the underlying stone and allowing the diamond to maintain its showroom brilliance. The nano-layer is one molecule thick and is completely transparent and undetectable by anything other than the most sophisticated molecular detection equipment. Anchored in fine jewelry expertise and developed by top scientists: Glisten Technologies was founded by Jean Dousset, a renowned high-end jewelry designer with nearly 30 years of industry experience and owner of Jean Dousset Diamonds. The great-great grandson of Louis Cartier and his clients were frustrated with the immediate and continued dulling of diamonds over time creating a loss of brilliance. Jean partnered with some of the world's foremost experts in nanotechnology, as well as with engineers and scientists from UC Berkeley and the University of Connecticut and the leading coating experts in the aerospace industry, to develop the solution to achieve ongoing, perfect optical brilliance. The team successfully developed and panted a revolutionary nanotechnology (previously thought to be impossible) to seal and protect surfaces such as diamonds – but extending to other inert surfaces (like glass and plastic).
