Global Coralition unites art, science and community to regenerate collapsing coral reef ecosystems. Our mission is to empower local communities through sculptural reefs and land based coral farms to regenerate marine environments to help save our oceans. 25% of all marine life depend on coral reefs 97% of wave and storm energy is absorbed by coral reefs, protecting our delicate coast lines 1 billion people depend on coral reefs for food and livelihood New medicines for cancer, arthritis, viruses, and more are being discovered in our reefs each year Our vision is to launch a global movement where indigenous wisdom merges with scientific advances to rebuild our marine ecosystems, create new jobs, food security and healing for ecology and humanity together- Through Science we utilize coral restoration techniques both in the ocean and on land- Through Community we work closely with local youth, divers, fishermen, and government officials to help create job opportunities, food security, and education through conversation- We use Art to help tell the story to Engage, Inspire, and Activate. Our team builds larger-than-life sculptures deployed into our oceans to come to ecotourism sites, marine protected areas and homes to the coral restoration sides.
