The Global Diabetic Association's mission is to raise awareness, embrace technology and fight for a cure. The Association facilitates the advocacy of our supporters, as they give voice to the challenges we face – from false information and diabetes care to embracing technology that improves the lives of our Community. Our Diabetic Community needs your voice! Help us raise awareness – we’re tired of the false Information out there - from not knowing type 1's must take insulin every day – or they die! Or well-meaning folks who feel: ‘healthy' eating – exercise – or herbal ‘remedies’ will ‘cure' our need for insulin! We also Advocate on our social networks – showing how type 1 and type 2 ‘s …. are different! We change lives, reaching out to those who don’t even know they’re pre-diabetic! So, we ask for your support. You could even support our fundraiser: if you feel you’d love to monitor your blood glucose levels – (without being a pin cushion & having to draw blood), now there are incredible advances in wearable tech! Imagine – being able to see what foods cause your blood sugar to spike - helping you to identify & eliminate the wrong foods from your diet. Achieving control of your weight (and prevention of further complications) becomes realistic! There’s so much you can do to help us ‘get the word out’… We urge you: become our Global Advocate.
