Global Esd
The U.N. Sustainable Development Goals require an *adaptive* understanding of social ecological systems and the behavioral *flexibility* to act on that understanding. To be meaningfully impactful will require *adaptive flexibility* at an unprecedented scale. With your help, we seek to position schools as catalysts for this global networked improvement community. Drawing on insights from biology, economics, anthropology, improvement science and contextual behavioral science, plus your very own participatory action research, we endeavor to identify overarching competencies as well as skills that underpin the work of successful improvement communities, and to develop teaching materials, lessons, units and teacher guidance to help cultivate these skills and transferable understandings in students and teachers across subjects. Together we hope to advance equitable and timely answers to the questions "How do we improve our schools to work for all?" and "How do we improve our communities to work for all?" that are yet applicable to diverse improvement efforts everywhere.
