Global Gen SPF Vannamei broodstock are produced in the only Government recognized OIE SPF accredited facility in Indonesia. Located on the island of Lombok, our facility exports broodstock across the Asian and Middle Eastern regions. Our customers include hatcheries in Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Egypt. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), aquaculture is the "fastest growing food-producing sector and now accounts for 50 percent of the world's fish that is used for food". Recognizing the need for more sustainable mechanisms to meet the growing demand of animal protein, Global Gen believes that genetic improvement is the key driver of sustainability for the future of aquaculture.
