Global Health Drug Discovery Institute

Being the first independent, not-for-profit research institute of its kind in China, the Global Health Drug Discovery Institute (GHDDI) is committed to improving global health through accelerated development of new drugs and innovative technologies to tackle diseases that disproportionately affect populations in the developing world, including tuberculosis, malaria, helminth infections, EED, HBV and COVID-19 etc. GHDDI is jointly founded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Tsinghua University and the Beijing Municipal Government, and is closely partnered with the California Institute for Biomedical Research (Calibr) in scientific research.
