Global Link Development Education Centre

Global Link is a Development Education Centre (DEC) based in Lancaster in the UK. We aim to increase awareness of the global dimension and empower people to make changes for a more fair and sustainable world. We run workshops, exhibitions, training and other creative learning activities in schools, colleges and the wider community on issues such as diversity, citizenship, human rights, social justice, conflict resolution, community cohesion, refugees and immigration, global interdependence, fairtrade, climate change and sustainable development. Our objectives are to: 1. Raise the local profile of global development, environment and social justice issues and perspectives. Be a leading global education and community cohesion facilitator, providing creative, arts-based and participatory learning experiences, through training, workshops, resources and exhibitions. Be a thriving social enterprise with diverse and sustainable sources of income. Be a community facilitator, raising global awareness and supporting action for change.
