Our founder is ocean engineer Kevin Hardy. Prior to starting Global Ocean Design in 2011, Kevin retired from Scripps Institution of Oceanography/UCSD after a distinguished 40-year career. In 2012, Kevin built two large unmanned landers and led the lander deployment and recovery team for James Cameron’s DEEPSEA CHALLENGE EXPEDITION in the Mariana Trench. Kevin is a respected author and educator, providing professional articles and tutorials to the marine community and educational outreach to the next generation of ocean engineers.
