Established in 2006, Global Substation Solutions Ltd (GSS) are a dynamic power system engineering company, providing turnkey project services to the UK and international transmission, distribution and generation markets. To facilitate this, GSS have established offices in both the UK and Belgrade (Serbia), the latter facilitating projects within Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Our portfolio of services includes project management, primary plant and P&C engineering, site installation, commissioning and specialist design consultancy services. At GSS we believe that the success of our projects is derived from our commitment to produce consistently high quality design work within the constraints of the clients schedule and budget. To achieve this, we have dedicated project design teams, consisting of experienced Electrical Engineers, System Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, Designers, and Draught persons. Output from the teams are tailored to suit our clients’ needs, from high level feasibility studies to complete detailed designs, including fabrication, FAT, project management, installation and commissioning. Our expertise at GSS can be offered to clients in a comprehensive engineering package to include any or all of the following: Initial feasibility studies to evaluate system solution design options. Technical reports (to support capital spend approval plans). Site visit reports and surveys and independent ‘in house’ checking and auditing of schemes and solutions Provision of Functional design specifications (FDS) and design intent documents (DID’s) detailing solutions to be used and their implementation Detailed design of both conventional and integrated SCMS control & protection systems for new or refurbished sites. This includes both hardwired and software based scheme & logic designs. Interface engineering and provision of General Arrangements, Circuit diagrams, Wiring diagrams, and Cable schedules to enable solutions to be implemented
