GlobeMed envisions a world in which health – the ability to not only survive but thrive – is possible for all people. We aim to strengthen the movement for global health equity by mobilizing a community of students and grassroots leaders to improve the health of people around the world. From 2006 to 2023, the GlobeMed network engaged thousands of undergraduate students at university-based chapters. Each chapter is partnered with a community-led health organization in Africa, Asia, or the Americas. By building one-to-one partnerships between students and grassroots organizations, GlobeMed fostered the dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning we need to tackle today’s complex global health challenges. Through their involvement in GlobeMed, our students and partners committed to a life of leadership in global health and social justice.
