After my many years working (in mostly the publishing industry ) I am still surprised what the influence of computers and software is on the tasks performed by the people on the work-floor. Simple processes are replaced by complex pieces of software that will slow down the end-user. The benefits of the computer systems mostly have only a benefit in other parts of an organization. My slogan is: ‘we digitized many of our tasks, but where is the automation?’ Due to that insight I have a sweet-spot for creating these little ‘add-ons’ that combine a series of manual actions to one action. Reducing workload and errors and allowing people to do what they are best in: Being creative.
