Since the inception in 1995, Amity Business School has been striving to promote leadership and research with the avowed objective of an effective integration of management education with industry. Organization of the annual Global Leadership Summit (GLS) was the first important step in this direction wherein the role of leadership in organization building was recognized and rewarded by conferring Amity Leadership Awards for outstanding achievements in industry. These illustrious industry leaders shared their vision of leadership and unique success stories with academicians, management practitioners and students in a one day conference. Over the period it was felt that there was a lack of focus on research in this format of the conference which culminated in the evolution of the annual Global Leadership Reseearch Conference (GLRC) in 2016.
