Goblis Foundation

We are a unique method of community empowerment that was founded in 2018 on a model of community ownership with the goal of driving the regeneration of young people from underserved communities in Kenya so that future generations can thrive. This community-led strategy has resulted in the empowering of community social entrepreneurs through participation in long-term projects that improve individuals' and communities' quality of life and independence. As a result, young people will rise up and take the first step toward a hopeful future in which they may enhance their quality of life by affecting systemic changes in their communities. Guided by the principle of human-centered design, seeks out underserved youth from marginalized communities who have innovative solutions to community problems and the desire to address local and societal social challenges, and transforms them into social entrepreneurs through a cost-effective and efficient process facilitated by community mentors. Through tailored empowerment stages, we unleash and nurture the social entrepreneurial drive within each of them, allowing them to build original ventures or improve current ones while defining their own path through social innovation. We go through several iteration cycles with the ideas until a social business model is verified and traction is achieved. We work hand in hand with our beneficiaries to transform community social difficulties into opportunities, allowing them to generate a sustainable life through the establishment of employment opportunities, which improves their lives, the lives of their families, and the lives of their communities. By building their own solutions rather than waiting to be hired or receive handouts, the beneficiaries build resilient, climate-smart, and self-reliant communities, addressing the core causes of unemployment. By investing in the right people, we help break the cycle of poverty and bring long-term stability to underserved communities.
