As GoChapaa, one of our core missions is to empower Africa to take control of its financial future through blockchain. Among the things to get us there is to develop basic blockchain infrastructure (layer 2) products that promote prosperity, empowerment, and financial inclusion to EVERYONE in Kenya, and further to the African continent. One of our flagship products is the GoChapaa wallet. The wallet allows our users to buy various cryptocurrencies through local currencies and off-ramp to local currencies by selling off the coins. Recent studies show that, as of March 2022, over 81 million users had created unique Bitcoin wallets on Blockchain.com, a website that allows anyone to buy Bitcoin. This represents a 72 percent increase from a year ago and a 237% increase since 2018. These include the 25 million addresses that are thought to be economically active wallets belonging to private individuals. Therefore, although users need to be careful, cryptocurrency can no longer be dismissed as a scam. Despite the growth in popularity of cryptocurrency, there have been very prominent issues that have led to doubts in the cryptocurrency wallet systems. Crypto wallets are too complicated for most people to use. GoChapaa has designed a beautiful and easy application from the time of onboarding to the continuous user experience to rewrite the narrative of difficult wallets.
