Mulshi Located in the western part of Pune, popular eco-tourism destination in the city. Mulshi is one of the best places to visit near Pune, especially during monsoon. The locality is known for Mulshi Dam, Mulshi Lake, and Tamhini Ghat, which are often frequented by tourists from Mumbai and Pune. Mulshi Dam and the surroundings are full of natural beauty that includes a dam, a hilly region of Sahyadri's deep forests and forts like Dhangad and Koraigadh. Getting in to Mulshi is through a beautful and scenic highway that starts from Pune. The start of the highway is from 'Chandni Chowk' off the Mumbai-Bangalore highway and snakes its way through Mulshi via the industrial township of Pirangut. The total drive from there on is about 50 odd km that takes about 45 - 60 minutes.
