Good for Manly was established in 2012 as a voice for Manly Ward's residents and ratepayers. We are a community driven association with a firm focus on supporting local business, charities and community groups, protecting our beautiful environment and welcoming the many tourists who come to visit us each year. Our track record speaks for itself and we get the job done and do whatever it takes to have a thriving community of which we are all proud to be belong too. We are committed to advocating, protecting and promoting the interests and welfare of all of the residents and ratepayers of the Manly Ward within the Northern Beaches Council. Our objectives are too: 1. Protect and promote the interests and welfare of all of the residents and ratepayers of the Manly Ward within the Northern Beaches Council. Encourage, nurture and develop a strong sense of community amongst the residents and ratepayers of Manly Ward. Nurture, preserve and enhance the historical village centre of Manly for the benefit of all residents, ratepayers and visitors. Protect, preserve and enhance the natural attributes, and the native flora and fauna, of the area. Promote and develop Manly’s national and international reputation as a world-class tourism destination. Ensure that Northern Beaches Council and its staff operate in all respects in accordance with world’s best practice. Encourage and support the election of suitable candidates to Manly Ward, and monitor and support them, once elected, in the proper performance of their functions as councillors.
