Our mission is to create a positive vision for the role of the U.S. federal government in education by elevating the voices of those who have historically worked in, collaborated with, or been impacted by the U.S. Department of Education. From Spring 2025 to Spring 2026, we will interview former Department of Education employees and Department of Education stakeholders to capture institutional knowledge about the previous workings of the agency and to generate a positive vision for the future role of the federal government in education.
