Good Juice
What is GOOD JUICE? Whether at home in South Africa or when Good Juice moves abroad our brief is the same - to engender, showcase and support diversity within the South African wine scene. The name is derived from a colloquial wine industry term used to describe delicious, well-made wine. “Good juice”. We take this to mean wine made with progressive working conditions using fruit from sustainably farmed vineyards and with low-intervention practices in the cellar. Good for the earth, good for the grapes, good in the glass. Good Juice sits in the low intervention & natural wine space. This is a large and growing international trend linked to the organic movement and already widespread in all major wine growing regions. In South Africa this trend is in its infancy but gaining tracking fast, with more producers working this way each year. We’re interested in Diversity in the producers we feature Giving a platform to upcoming/progressive producers Presenting new faces and bringing new consumers into wine Disrupting wine’s conventional/pretentious image Guiding wine curious visitors to SA towards an alternative wine experience
