Good Roots Barn Ltd

After working within the horticultural industry I know first hand how dominated it is by plastic and thats not necessarily a bad thing, don’t get me wrong I’m not anti-plastic, I’m just against using a product, that was designed to outlive you, once and then throwing it away (I will come back to this concept of ‘away’ at some point further down the road). My biggest passion is gardening and all things horticultural and if I can enjoy this area with the peace of mind that I’m not adding to the ever increasing plastic pollution we find our planet in and maybe even help to reduce it, then I think its worth every ounce of effort I have. So I thought, wouldn’t it be great to get all your gardening needs, plastic free, from one website and so the adventure began! Good Roots Barn was established in 2020 in the hopes of being able to provide alternatives to plastic within the home garden. In truth it was actually born out of frustration from not being able to purchase bird seed that did not come in plastic, it took hours searching the internet and all I wanted to do was encourage birds into our garden but I was determined not to do it at the expense of my current plastic free lifestyle within my home.
