Our Mission: Got Your Six Support Dogs is committed to providing specialized service dogs to veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and/or sexual trauma. Our mission is to help these men and women regain their lives through the healing power of dogs. Services We Offer: Trained PTSD Service Dogs for Veterans and First Responders Got Your Six Support Dogs was developed out of the need of veterans and first-responders requesting PTSD service dogs when all other methods of treatment have failed. Due to a high demand for PTSD service dogs and low accessibility to them, Got Your Six Support Dogs fills this need by training dogs for veterans and first-responders who see this option as their only chance to survive PTSD. Our mission is to help our men and women regain their lives through the healing power of dogs. Service Dog Training Group Class Scholarships Got Your Six Support Dogs offers scholarships for Service Dog Training Classes to those interested in training their own dog to become a service dog. Keep in mind, personal dogs must be at least a year old, a graduate of our basic and intermediate class, able to pass an AKC Canine Good Citizen test, and able to pass our evaluation and temperament screening. Training a service dog is hard work! It can take at least a year, and most dogs do not make the cut. Therapy Dog Training Group Classes Got Your Six Support Dogs is thrilled to offer therapy dog training classes for individuals who would like to volunteer in their community with their four-legged friend. Therapy dogs are often needed to offer comfort and bring smiles at nursing homes, hospitals, courthouses, libraries, and even places where a crisis has occurred.
