Gothfarm Yarn is an independent yarn producer specializing in undyed, mill-spun fibers. We seek out the literal “black sheep” of the world, prizing fleeces and fibers grown from naturally colored animals and plants. We don’t use dyes or synthetic fibers. Our fibers usually come from small flocks, and include uncommon and rare animals raised with the beauty of their colored locks in mind. We embrace the variety of colors and textures of different fiber sources, and seek to showcase these properties through beautiful yarns. We hope that our yarns can also help build awareness of the rich diversity of fiber producing plants and animals, and how humans and the environment have helped shape them over time. Each of our yarn skeins is unique, with colors varying slightly due to differences between individual animals, or color changes in a single fiber source. We embrace it.
