Ayurveda, the divine science of medicine, the elixir of life, is one of the few systems of medicine developed in ancient times, and still widely practiced in modern era, indicating the glory and potency of the science. WHO defines Health, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Ayurveda also defines the same through SWASTHA. Mainly two fold is the treatment regime of the science. Firstly, to restore the health of the healthy - by rejuvenation and practice of sadvrtta as preventive aspect. Secondly, by curing the ailments of the ailing. In the present scenario, these two folds stands eternal.
