Gpmin
Since 2012, the group has been working on two main lines of research: physical chemistry of macromolecules and electrochemistry of interfaces. The Electrochemistry of Interfaces research line involves the synthesis and characterization of new electroactive materials applied to electrochemical sensors and biosensors, electrocatalysis for the degradation of organic matter and the generation of green hydrogen and the production of supercapacitors. Research projects in these areas are being developed in partnership with public companies such as Sanepar. The Physical Chemistry of Macromolecules research line involves the preparation of self-assembled systems, formed from macromolecules, and the study of their interfacial interactions, both in solution and adsorbed to surfaces. Currently, research projects have investigated complex polysaccharides of plant origin for applications as nanoparticle stabilizers, in the formation of electroactive blends and in release systems.
