GPP is the Organizing Committee for the 43rd Gran Premio del Perdono, a UCI International Junior Cycling Race -"The Italian Junior International Spring Classic". The Gran Premio del Perdono first took place in 1959, quickly establishing itself as an Easter Monday tradition. Renowned as a significant classic in the national cycling landscape, the event boasts a distinguished roll of honour, including athletes like Luca Colombo, who clinched a silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and was crowned World Champion in 1991 in Stuttgart in the team time trial. Though the race's course has evolved over the years, it has always preserved its deep ties to the region and its indissoluble bond with 'il Perdono'. In a significant development for 2024, the Gran Premio del Perdono will be elevated to international status, marking it as the inaugural event on the UCI calendar in Italy for the Junior category. This change will expand its reach, welcoming teams and individual racers from across the globe, not just Europe, making it a truly international showcase for the world's emerging cycling talents.
