Granatum Finance

Granatum disrupts and democratises the mining financing business with the use of smart contracts and Blockchain. Mining streaming is an alternative source of financing where the streamers provide upfront financing to a mining company in exchange for the right to purchase a percentage of the mine's future production at a predetermined price. The stream may reference secondary products (for example, the gold produced at a copper mine), or a percentage of the primary product. By tokenising the mine's future production, Granatum creates a new asset class and brings the streaming business to a broader investor base. Investors can thereby diversify their exposure to different mines, countries and minerals. They can also buy and sell small shares of streams through the secondary market. Mines are able to finance both small and large projects, and at potentially better terms given the broader investor base. Mines can also purchase back production rights through the secondary market if and when it suits them. Streaming companies are primarily located in North America and the streams purchased against mining production throughout the Americas. Granatum will initially focus on already-producing precious metals mines located in property rights-respecting jurisdictions in Africa.
