With about 50 per cent of the elderly Indian women being financially dependent on others, it is affordable housing, healthcare, and the psychological and social manifestations of ageing that India struggles to respond to as a country with dismal social security and elderly care facilities. GranMade is a social enterprise and functions ethically, ensuring equal pay to its artisans.
