Graphic Matters

Since 2008, Graphic Matters presents the work of visually idiosyncratic, socially involved and/or critical designers. By making designers and young people aware of the impact of graphic design, we stimulate visual literacy and contribute to connection and equality in society. We show self initiated projects by designers that demonstrate a unique practice and vision on the role of the designer. The presentations often take place in a public context, creating space for dialogue. Our program offers designers and young people the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills. From 2008 tot 2019 we presented a biannual festival (up to 2015 known as Graphic Design Festival Breda). From 2023 there is an ongoing program.
