Gray Area, Pllc

Gray Area, PLLC is a private practice owned by Amanda Gray, Ph.D, LP, LSSP. Dr. Gray worked as a school psychologist in public schools for several years prior to opening her practice, which highlighted the needs of families, children, and school districts. The vision of Gray Area is to eliminate barriers to meet the mental health needs of children, teens, and young adults. The mission is to provide and connect families with the tools they need to help youth achieve their full potential through evaluation, consultation/advocacy, therapy, and training, as well as assistance in navigating Special Education, Section 504, and Response to Intervention (RTI) systems. Dr. Gray desires to provide youth the support they need to be successful through all services offered. She wants to help children understand that things are not inherently “wrong” with them, regardless of diagnosis, and that they have strengths others do not, while providing them with the tools to maximize such strengths. Dr. Gray hopes to assist schools in building and maintaining connections with families to meet the needs of students through collaboration, consultation, and training. Furthermore, Dr. Gray understands that families often need additional assistance outside of school staff to navigate the support systems. She strives to help families understand the resources available while advocating for their children in and out of school. Dr. Gray’s approach is strengths-based and eclectic with roots in positive psychology and humanistic theories. This approach ensures youth feel understood, capable, and supported by helping them identify areas of need and treating them through identifying and utilizing their unique strengths.
