Gray Wolf Companionship

Gray Wolf Companionship offers restorative support for people of all ages during health challenges and difficult life transitions. There are two modalities we offer- The Trager® Approach (named after its founder Milton Trager, MD), a calming and enlivening mobilization of the entire body through gentle touch and wave-like, rocking movements that ease the nervous system into a newly felt sense of freedom, spaciousness, and deep peace in body and mind. Throughout the session we are asking the questions: How could movement be freer, lighter, softer, more complete? How could we walk, run, stand, sit, lie down, and do our daily activities with more ease? By playfully mobilizing the body in a pain-free range of motion (this part is done on a massage table), the Trager® Approach seeks to create a new and positive experience, a memory of something that feels good, and that we are likely to remember. Together with Mentastics® (easy, playful exercises), these new experiences can be recalled and re-integrated, in how we move and do things, throughout the day- Compassionate Presence & Listening - Being with each other beyond doing No matter if you are bedridden, desperate, anxious, grieving, isolated, or not well, this service seeks to support and nurture you through calm presence and a pair of carefully listening ears.
