Great Aspirations

Rosaura Raya-Markham is the owner of Great Aspirations and it is a private practice which works with students with learning challenges and disabilities on a one-to-one basis. Ages range from preschool to high school. We combine educational and therapeutic approaches in evaluation, remediation, communication, and advocacy for clients with learning difficulties or disabilities. We conduct informal assessments, utilize specific, and when appropriate, alternative teaching strategies. We use a variety of multi-sensory programs for example, Barton, Orton-Gillingham, Language! and Reading Naturally. We are not a tutor. A tutor typically provides individual assistance with homework or instruction in a specific subject matter. We will design an individualized education plan to help your child achieve success in reading, writing, math and organizational skills. We use multisensory research-based reading and computer programs to improve children’s academic skills.
