Great Bear Carbon

Great Bear Carbon (GBC) operates Canada's largest Indigenous-owned forest carbon project, protecting the Great Bear Rainforest—one of the world's largest remaining intact rainforests—and Haida Gwaii. Owned by seven Coastal First Nations who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial, GBC generates high-integrity verified carbon offsets. Our projects are validated under British Columbia's Forest Carbon Offset Protocol (FCOP) and eligible for both voluntary carbon markets and BC's Output-Based Pricing System (OBPS).
