Great Plains Auto Body

We have come a long way since the night Bruce and Joyce sat down around the table with their kids to think of a name for this shop, but family is still at the heart of our operation. Bruce and Joyce Hansen founded Great Plains Auto Body in November 1988 as a family owned and operated auto body repair shop. We first opened our doors in Omaha, Nebraska in a sq. ft. leased facility at 78th and “F” street. In 1992, 2500 sq. ft. were added. In 1996, we purchased the sq. ft. building and 3 and 1/2 acres of land, which serves as our current location. The growth did not stop there. In we underwent a major addition to the repair facilities sq. ft.) and an extensive remodel to the administrative offices. Along the way, we have found excellent employees who believe in the service we want to provide. In 2007 we opened a second location in the Lake Manawa area of Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 2012, we opened our third location off of 108th & Maple Street - 10921 Emmet Street. Our fourth location, Charlie Graham at the corner of 42nd and Leavenworth Streets, brought two of Omaha’s most respected brands in auto repair together. It has expanded with a new facility catty-corner at the same intersection featuring the iconic neon sign. All of our growth has only helped us to serve you better, and our family roots have kept us grounded.
